Adobe's own installer ships with Creative Cloud. Quit After Effects, then run:

macOS (Terminal)

"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/RemoteComponents/UPI/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent" --install ~/Downloads/AfterWeez-0.1.0.zxp

Windows (Command Prompt)

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\RemoteComponents\UPI\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.exe" /install "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\AfterWeez-0.1.0.zxp"
The panel doesn't show up?

Restart After Effects fully, then look under Window › Extensions (not Window › Extensions (Legacy) in older versions). If the panel opens blank, install the file again with ZXP Installer, or try Anastasiy's Extension Manager. Still stuck? Tell us your After Effects version and system.
